STIHL’s DOGS & LOGS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Stillwater, MN  July 24 – 27, 2008

STIHL'S DOGS & LOGS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, PRESENTED BY CABELA'S…
will be featured in Lowell Park adjacent to the beautiful St. Croix River in historic downtown Stillwater as a part of the 2008 Lumberjack Day's annual celebrations.  This event each July draws more than 200 000 fans and spectators and with the addition of the Stihl's Dogs & Logs World Championships presented by Cabela's, the energy and excitement of this year's festivities is sure to reach new heights.

Team STIHL’s Tom Dropik and his powerhouse black labrador retriever Rocky from New Prague, MN are proud to be representing the “DOGS” part of the team and will be competing in 3 events at this years championships.

Tom and Rocky will be going Head to Head with the best dogs in the world in the new sport Speed Retrieve,  a tremendous crowd pleaser that test the dogs speed on the dock, jumping ability, and speed in the water.

Tom and Rocky will also be going Head to Head with the best dogs in the world in the sport Extreme Vertical,  the absolute crowd favorate, that tests the dogs High Jumping ability.

Tom and Rocky have also qualified for Iron Dog. This is the best of the best combined Teams with the top averages in each of the 3 disciplines worldwide, Big Air®, Speed Retrieve and Extreme Vertical®.  This triathlon of events will reveal the Overall World Champion of DockDogs."

In addition to the onsite competition action, the Dogs & Logs World Championships will also be featured on the Outdoor Channel later this year.  As an action packed TV program debuting these 2 sports side by side, the Dogs & Logs World Championships are coming to audiences Worldwide.
