Love is in the Air. . . Every time I look around. . .
Hey wait. . . I think there’s a song in there somewhere.
On Rocky’s Road, that is.
These Sunny and 65 degree days are wickin' up the wild life.
The Geese have found their mates and are building their 8 bedroom condos.
The Duck’s are extremely active. The drake Mallards have the brightest of
Green Heads and are doing everything they can to Dance and Romance the Ever
so picky hens.
Man, they get noisy this time of year.
The ever elusive Ring Necks are callin’ to the wild. Strategically placed in
the woods and brushy areas. Just lettin’ the hens know their around.
Rocky’s and Tucker have got a house guest for the next 10 days. A beautiful
4 month old male black lab named Blazer.
Wow, is it fun watching these 3 boys rattle all that love in the air down
Rocky’s Road. . .
The Geese are MAD, the Ducks are CONFUSED, and the Ring Necks are learning,
all over again, how to be CRAFTY and SWIFT on their feet.
I got about 100 more years before I figure
out this photography stuff. . .
The boys are ready:
Rocky and Blazer hit Rocky’s Road:
Rocky scopes out Water Fowl Haven:
Dad was able to get and action shot on the
mallards and shot of the REALLY MAD Goosers. . .
You see . . .
Rocky doesn't hunt Water Fowl. He's an all american upland bird dog. He
doesn't think birds come out of the sky. He thinks they come out of the
ground. So, when we get near Water Fowl Haven, he thinks he's gettin' near
them Swimmin' Pheasants and the chase is on. . . You can't see Rocky in that
Mallard picture, but he's right there chase'n up. . .
